PBSC’s APR pneumatic inflatable seal door set, also known as a containment-controlled door, airtight door, airtight containment door, hospital door, laboratory door, and cleanroom door, provides airtight containment for areas with frequent traffic and wheeled equipment, such as hospitals, laboratories, and cleanrooms.

The airtight containment door frame is flush with the floor, eliminating obstacles and trip hazards.

Mechanical Seal Door Set HC-MSD

PBSC’s APR Mechanical Seal door sets for high containment facilities are designed to create a reliable airtight barrier.

Also known as High Containment Doors, Hospital Doors, Lab Doors, Laboratory Doors, Stainless Steel Doors, APR Doors, and Cleanroom Doors. The airtight barrier is achieved by using a robust yet flexible seal that is manually compressed against the doorframe. The seal doesn’t need compressed air, making it a fail-safe option in case of a power outage.

The Mechanical Seal Door Sets designed by PBSC work for all containment applications, with stainless-steel and machined HPL door leaves as options. Both door leaves are tested up to 2500PA (10” W.G.). The door set can be connected to an access control system if required.

APR Vision Panel HC-Vd/s/f

PBSC provides a variety of vision panels that combine functionality with an attractive design, enhancing the aesthetics of your facility.

The high-containment APR vision panel, also known as a Hospital Window, Window Panel, High Containment Panel, Lab Window, and APR Vision Panel, is available in Double Glazed, Single Glazed, and Fire-Rated options, featuring a polished stainless-steel frame. It is securely sealed to the wall with a compression gasket for optimal performance. Additionally, PBSC offers window systems finished with structural silicone, ensuring a seamless and professional wall integration.

PBSC’s vision panels are designed for versatile installation into cast concrete, concrete block, or stud walls. To ensure optimal performance, pressure test points are included for quick and easy verification of the gasket seal integrity.

Extensive test data, detailing performance under pressure differences of up to 2000 Pa, is readily available from our technical department.

APR Barrier Hatch HC-BH

PBSC’s range of room-to-room hatches provide reliable interlocked door transfer routes and are custom designed to address a wide range of applications; from non-containment environments right up to the most rigorously controlled BSL4 laboratories.

Wall-mounted versions are ideal for small hand-held items and our floor-mounted hatches are designed to handle larger items and carts.

Transfer Hatches are available in polished stainless steel with a fully welded construction. All models feature reliable PBSC door interlocks and proven door hinges and seals.

Venting and chamber conditioning may be provided and fully welded gas-tight duct connectors / HVAC ball valve dampers are available.

PBSC’s hatches are available with either an inflatable or mechanical seal door design. Both provide excellent levels of containment.

High Containment Chemical Dunk Tank

Where decontamination of small-scale items is needed PBSC produces a dunk tank system for installation on the containment barrier.

The dunk tank serves as a specialised pass-through system for transferring goods between sections of a cleanroom or biology laboratory, using liquid disinfection to ensure effective sterilisation.

The chemical dunk tank is specifically designed for use in BSL3 and BSL4 biosafety laboratories.

Based on the classic design, the PBSC dunk tank — also known as a High Containment Tank, Decontamination Tank, Hydrogen Peroxide Chamber, Barrier, and Containment Barrier — features stainless steel lids (mounted on cast stainless steel hinges). Within the tank, a hinge-down submersion plate is provided to ensure items are held below the surface of the neutralizing chemical liquid.

The dunk tank can be manually locked during shut down with the doors providing a barrier seal without the fluid in the tank.
